NEW!!! MORE ABOUT BRIDGES!

Mr. Plater sure knows bridges!! We learned that we need extra support bars that are triangular in shape (because, triangles are the strongest shape for bridge support), that the center of the truss bridge is the weakest, and how compression, tension, and torque are three forces that affect how much a bridge can hold.

Here is a place that you can write about all you now know about bridges, and ideas you have for our own bridge design!

Oh no! Mr. Plater had to cancel our MESA meeting today!! He will come out in the future to teach us all about bridges. Post what you think you know, what you think we will learn, and after our meeting today, what you learned here! We will be prepared for when he does make it out to our MESA club meeting! Protecting the Treasures of the Chesapeake Bay

Mr. Harten came out today and talked with us about how important the Chesapeake Bay is and the role it plays in our area. First, I'd like to give Mr. Harten a big thank you! We learned so much from your presentation!

Here you can talk about the different Cheapeake Bay treasures and how we can help perserve and save them. Try to post at least twice before our next meeting. Remember, parents and family can also post their thoughts to our blog!!
